William J Weber

William J. Weber, known to many as Bill, has developed an impressive thirty-year career as a five-time CEO and a recognized expert in mergers and acquisitions based in Washington, DC. His extensive background in high-growth technology sectors has positioned him as a key figure in solving some of the most challenging technical problems globally.

During his tenure as CEO of Firefly Aerospace, he played a crucial role in overseeing the company's complete space transportation services, which included launches, landings, and orbital operations, serving a diverse clientele in the space commerce industry.

Weber was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and completed his Bachelor of Science at Washington University. He further enhanced his leadership and business acumen at the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business, where he graduated from the Executive Program. His leadership skills were also shaped by his military service, where he served as an airborne ranger and captain in the US Army, earning a Bronze Star for his courageous service during Operation Desert Storm.

From 2011 to 2024, he demonstrated exceptional leadership in various CEO roles, managing complex business environments and spearheading numerous mergers and acquisitions, achieving four major liquidity events. His efforts in financial leadership have been marked by successfully raising over $2.5 billion through equity and debt financings across five companies.

Weber's commitment to developing leadership skills in others has resulted in over 20 direct reports attaining C-level positions in defense, intelligence, and aerospace technology. He served as president, CEO, and director of XLA, Inc. from 2011 to 2015, where he significantly impacted the company's strategic direction and operational success. Following this, he led KeyW Corporation from 2015 to 2019 as president and CEO, managing a large workforce and overseeing the company's substantial revenue growth, eventually leading to a successful merger with Jacobs Engineering Group.

Since 2019, Weber has been the managing principal of WJW Advisors, LLC, where he continues to guide strategic mergers and acquisitions across various industries. He also founded and led First Light Acquisition Group (FLAG) from 2020 to 2022, overseeing a $230 million public offering and a pivotal deSPAC transaction in late 2023.

Most recently, he was CEO of Firefly Aerospace, where he managed the company's strategic, operational, financial, and relational aspects until 2024, including leading major projects for the US Space Force.

Beyond his business achievements, Weber is a passionate advocate for veterans. He serves as vice chair of the board for America's Warrior Partnership, focusing on innovative methods to prevent veteran suicide. Outside of work, he enjoys participating in sports and outdoor activities and spending time with his family and friends. William J.
